I just wish I could speak fluently yourlanguage, but unfortunately the little that I
knew I have forgotten it. But sickness and
cancer are two words that do not need
a translation in any tongue, it is the plague
that needs to be faught with all our means and
energy. Never despair, never give up, never
finish the fight you took either a long time ago
or recently, just keep on fighting and maybe
we will get rid of it one way or another for us
and future generation.

Vorrei solo poter parlare fluentemente la tua lingua,
ma purtroppo quel poco che sapevo l'ho dimenticato.
Malattia e cancro sono però due parole
che non hanno bisogno di una traduzione,
sono la piaga che deve essere combattuta
con tutti i mezzi e con tutte le nostre forze.
Mai disperare, mai arrendersi, mai finire la lotta
anche se intrapresa da molto tempo o solo di recente.
Bisogna soltanto continuare a lottare
e forse riusciremo, in un modo o nell’altro, per noi
e per le generazioni future, a sbarazzarcene.
